2018 Summer Street Style

Want to look effortless on the streets this summer? We’re predicting sunny days ahead! Read on to find out all of the hot trends that will be seen on the streets!

Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are a great way to stay cool and casual! Try a neutral color like white, that you can accessorize as much as you please! Add a pair of block heels and you’ll be ready to cruise the streets!

Metallics

Metallics aren’t just for New Year’s Eve! Try a daytime look with a metallic gold skirt and some loafers or backless flats to finish off the look.

Breezy Fabrics

Choose breezy fabrics to keep you cool all summer long! Jersey-knit and t-shirt dresses are great go-tos!

Knot Tees

Knot tees are great for a day at the gym, or for a walk around the lake! Great with black yoga pants or leggings, make sure you don’t forget your chucks and white sneakers!

Bright Colors

Fashion experts are predicting bright colors, like magenta and traffic cone orange, are going to be hot this year! Try them as a skirt you can pair with mules for a perfect street style look, or a graphic tee!

Off The Shoulder Dress

An off the shoulder dress is the perfect way to stay comfortable and cool this summer! Try a fun pattern, or go for neutral colors and spruce up with some geometric jewelry.

Mismatched prints

Floral and paisley?! That’s right, ladies. Mismatched prints are hitting the streets! Go for a printed tee with a floral skirt, and don’t forget about some cute pumps or mules!

Maxi Dresses

A summer staple! Maxi dresses are the perfect summer street style. Feel free to accessorize and pair with some backless flats or embellished sandals!

White Pants

Bell bottoms, skinny, ripped, the options are endless! For a great street style look, try adding a graphic tee and a camo jacket.

Hair

length extensions

Top knots and braids will be hot this summer! If you’re looking for an easy change from day to night, try real hair extensions that are easy to use and don’t have to be sewn in!  Adding volume and length to your pony’s and braids with clip in extensions will give you the hottest look this summer.

Accessories

Accessories are key! Fashion experts are saying belted bags are in this season, perfect for only carrying the essentials for your perfect street style! Geometric shapes like cylinders and circles are also going to be popular for bags. As for jewelry, geometric shapes are also in. And who can forget about sunglasses? Paging Agent Smith, say goodbye to your oversized sunnies and trade them in for some tiny, sci-fi style sunglasses.

Denim

Another street style staple! Denim on denim is going to be popular this season, so bust out the jackets and jeans, ladies! Add a denim vest to layer on an off the shoulder or maxi dress.

Scarves

Scarves in summer?! Thin, neck scarves are actually the perfect way to stay cool this summer. Wear a fun, patterned colored scarf, or a neutral scarf if your wardrobe palette is colorful.

2018 Hair Styles and Colors

Thinking about changing your hair up for the summer? We’re here to break down the hottest and most popular trends of 2018!

Rose Gold Pink

Rose gold pink is a shade of pink and blonde, and looks oh so lovely! Spotted on celebs like Emma Roberts, this color has the capability to light up the whole face, even without make up!

Millennial Pink

Millennial pink?! In hair? That’s right. This color was a huge trend in 2017 and in 2018 as well, and now, it’s making its way to the scalp. It’s taking over!

Burgundy Hair

Celebs like KeKe Palmer have been spotted with this look. Beautiful with braids or curly hair, burgundy is predicted to be a hot color trend this summer!

Denim Blue

Let your favorite pair of jeans inspire this look! Denim blue is predicted to be popular this year, as showcased by celebs like Nicole Richie. Look out for this red carpet look in a salon or in a box!

Ashy Blonde

Last year brought all types of looks; silver, metallic, and now this year, the ash-blonde look is in. Try it with a cute bob!

Contrasting Colors

This look was popularized by star Selena Gomez. Soft brown roots with blonde hair framing the rest of the face, which makes it easier for the hair to grow out with less maintenance.

Two-Toned Hair

customizable hair extensions

You’ll need a microscope for this one! This look is considered “reverse ombre,” with roots that are just slightly darker than the ends of the hair. You’ll barely be able to tell a difference!

Eclipting

This trend is great for brunettes! As popularized by Aveda, “eclipting” simply means coloring the whole head with a dark base before strategically placing highlights so to “contour” the hair. Not only does it accentuate the shape of the hair, but it helps contour the face too!

Autumn Colored Hair

Fashion experts are predicting red colors like copper and autumn will be “hot” this year. If you want your hair to stay red as long as possible, always use a heat protectant, and avoid using heating products when possible!

Braids

Braids are the perfect way to keep your head cool in the summertime! French braid, fishtail, double braids, are all great ways to look stylish while keeping cool.

Top Knot

Top knots will be your best friend this season! Your neck will need a break from all of your hot hair, so be sure to stock up on extra hair ties and get to bunnin’!

Ponytail

A summer classic! For added volume, try adding some hair extensions to make your hair look fuller (and easier to put up). If you’d rather stick with your short hair, try adding some light volume extensions to add a small pony on the side, nape, or top.  Crown extensions can really add length, helping you rock whatever type of pony or updo you feel like!

Fashion To Keep You Cool In The Summertime

Time to put away the bulky sweaters and jeans; it’s summertime! Looking for ways to stay cool this summer? Look no further. We’ve got you (un) covered, from clothing and accessories, to hair extensions and hats.

Loose Clothing

A flowy maxi dress is the perfect way for your skin to breathe during the hot summer months. You may be more covered than if you were wearing a pair of shorts and a tank, but looser clothing actually gives your skin more breathable room!

Light Layers

So you might not be able to wear a maxi dress to the office, but layers should do the trick! Make sure to stick with light fabrics and avoid dress pants, as this could cause you to sweat (even with the AC on!).

Skirts

Skirts are perfect for out on the town, in the office, or even on the weekend! For the office, feel free to pick a neutral color or go a little bolder with a floral pattern. And, make sure it’s knee length so it’s office appropriate.

Bralettes

For those nice, summer weekends, a bralette is the perfect way to keep cool! Nice and lightweight, bralettes are great ways to avoid sweating in areas you don’t want to be sweating in…and, they’re super cute too!

Avoid Flimsy Fabrics

Fabrics without structure are likely to stick to clothes and thus, show sweat. Stick to cotton or linen fabrics (like a t-shirt dress) to stay cool this summer!

Avoid Heavy Embellishments

Embellishments like beads and metals are no-nos. Not only will the metal get hot, but they’ll weigh the fabric down, trapping in body heat. Instead, try wearing a fun pattern or bold color, which will achieve the same result!

Hats

A light, straw, wide brimmed hat is the perfect summer accessory! Not only does it keep you cool, but by keeping the sun off of your face, it keeps it from burning!

Unlined Clothing

According to Cosmo, not only is this just “another layer” between you and your skin, but lining is often more than not synthetic, meaning it won’t let your skin breathe well.

Small Accessories

Leave your large bags and totes at home, ladies! Not only is this great for spring cleaning, but it will also help you sweat less. This way, you won’t have to lug around all of your belongings in a large tote. You’ll be carrying the essentials and will be feeling great!

Light Colors

Well bold is great for some occasions, if you plan to be out in the sun for long periods of time, stick to lighter colors. Dark colors absorb light, making you feel hotter.

Hair

braid with hair extensions

Thinking of going for a change this summer? Why not mix up your hair! An above the shoulder bob is great to keep your head cool without the extra weight. However, if you are still craving those long locks, go for full volume hair extensions. Make sure they’re easy to use and don’t have to be sewed or glued in so you can remove them on those hot days!

Stay cool, ladies!

Summertime Date Night Looks

Nervous for that Tindr date, or about the cutie who asked you out? You’re in luck! We’re here to break down the “hottest” summer 2018 trends.

Slip Dresses

Slip dresses aren’t just for getting ready or for your nighttime routine! They make great date apparel as well. Fashion experts are predicting colors like traffic cone orange and magenta to be popular colors this year, so feel free to go bold! Pair with some dainty geometric jewelry and glitter heels and your crush won’t be able to keep his eyes off of you!

Casual Wear

Going on an adventure? Tuck an oversized tee into a midlength skirt for a fun, daytime look. Add some converse and oversized sunglasses with a belted bag to complete this look!

Patterned Dress

A patterned shift dress is the perfect date night look! Embellish it with a bold necklace and some chunky wedges. A printed wrap dress is also a great choice for date night attire. For this look, pair with some dainty jewelry and block heels.

Athleisure Wear

Athletic clothes on a date?! Hear us out. Black leggings and a cutout, oversized blouse can be cute and comfortable! Pair with a long, geometric necklace and some slip on, no back shoes; perfect for a walk in the park.

Jean Skirt

Versatile and cute! Jean skirts go with just about anything, so feel free to mix and match! A cute blouse, a cutoff top, a patterned long bell sleeve, etc. Pair with some strappy sandals, tassel earrings and a fringe handbag for a more Boho look.

White Dress

We know you’re not walking down the aisle (and hopefully not eating pasta), but a white dress is a perfect neutral piece to jazz up! Try pairing with some red heels and fun accessories to really stand out!

Fringe

Boho is back! Whether it’s on your jacket, skirts, even your earrings, anything fringe is perfect for a cute date night look.

LBD (Little Black Dress)

As always, little black dresses are not going away. This is another neutral piece, so feel free to play it up and have fun with accessories!

Matching Patterns

Heading straight from the office? Try a matching checkered suite top and pants! Patterns are going to be popular this year, so don’t feel like you look too polished for date night! To switch from the office to your night out, bring some pearl accessories and some block heels.

Maxi Dress

A summer classic! This year, try a mismatched pattern maxi dress, or bold colors. Since maxi dresses are already fairly bold themselves, feel free to go conservative on the accessories. Add some cute neutral sandals to this look.

Hair

crown extension clip in

The finishing touch; hair! Beach waves are easy to achieve with some sea salt spray on damp hair, finishing with a curling iron. Looking to take it a step further? Try crown hair extensions that are easy to use, don’t have to be sewn in, and are made from real hair. Hair extensions are a great and classic way to take any date night look to the next level!
